Additional modules created by the Odoo* community (free or not) can be used to complete the modules but require more IT knowledge.
Updates and migration
The Community version is kept up to date with functional and security bugs for around two years.
It is also possible to upgrade from a Community version to an Enterprise version.
However, there is no official Odoo tool for migrating between two community versions (e.g. from version 16 to 17).

*Additional modules created by the Odoo community are not updated systematically, and may even no longer be tracked. This can also have consequences for future version upgrades.
